Here's a list of the countries with the most Asian Cup titles of all time. Who's at the top?

The 2023 Asian Cup, held in Qatar, has begun. This prestigious football competition in Asia runs from January 12th to February 10th, 2024.

Not only is Qatar the host, but it also holds the title of defending champion in the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) tournament.

According to the sports website *Goal.com*, the Qatari national team became Asian champions for the first time in history at the 2019 Asian Cup held in the United Arab Emirates.

Besides Qatar, four other countries have each won the Asian Cup once: Israel, Kuwait, Australia, and Iraq. Israel was expelled from the AFC in the early 1970s before eventually joining UEFA.

Japan holds the top position for the most Asian Cup titles throughout history, with four wins in 1992, 2000, 2004, and 2011.

Following Japan are Saudi Arabia and Iran, each with three titles, and South Korea with two Asian Cup titles.
