Late in the second half, Arsenal's record signing, Declan Rice, scored with his left foot (90+6'). Five minutes later, Arsenal striker Gabriel Jesus, who had come on as a substitute in the second half, directed his shot into Andre Onana's right side (90+11'), securing a 3-1 victory for Arsenal over Man United.

For Man United, this was their sixth consecutive away defeat in London.

On the other hand, Arsenal was one of three home teams to win on Sunday (September 3, 2023).

Earlier, Liverpool thrashed Aston Villa 3-0. Meanwhile, Crystal Palace beat Wolverhampton 3-2.

These victories saw Liverpool and Arsenal both reach 10 points from their first four Premier League matches this season.

Four-time consecutive champions Manchester City remain top of the table after a fourth win from four games, a 5-1 victory over Fulham on Saturday (September 2, 2023). Erling Haaland, recently named UEFA's best player, scored a hat-trick in that match.
