Based on the National Workforce Survey (Sakernas) from the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS), the average worker's wage in Indonesia was Rp3,267,618 in August 2024.
This national average worker's wage increased by 2.81% from August 2023, which was Rp3,178,227 per month.
Of the 17 employment sectors, the highest average worker's wage was in the mining and quarrying sector, at Rp5.23 million per month, or 1.6 times higher than the national average.
Meanwhile, the lowest was in the agriculture, forestry, and fisheries sector, at Rp2.42 million per month.

1. Mining and quarrying: Rp5.23 million per month
2. Finance and insurance: Rp5.08 million
3. Information and communication: Rp4.98 million
4. Electricity and gas supply: Rp4.83 million
5. Real estate: Rp4.3 million
6. Government administration, defense, and mandatory social security: Rp4.16 million
7. Professional and business services: Rp4.14 million
8. Transportation and warehousing: Rp3.98 million
9. Health and social activities: Rp3.80 million
10. Construction: Rp3.29 million
11. Manufacturing industry: Rp3.25 million
12. Water, waste, and recycling treatment: Rp2.95 million
13. Education: Rp2.86 million
14. Wholesale and retail trade; repair and maintenance of motor vehicles and motorcycles: Rp2.85 million
15. Accommodation, food, and beverage services: Rp2.44 million
16. Agriculture, forestry, and fisheries: Rp2.41 million
17. Other services: Rp1.99 million
Nationally, the highest average worker's wage by region was in DKI Jakarta at Rp5.8 million per month. This was followed by Central Papua at Rp5.07 million per month and Riau Islands at Rp4.91 million per month.
Meanwhile, the lowest national average worker's wage was in West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) at Rp2.36 million per month, followed by East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) at Rp2.37 million per month and Central Java at Rp2.4 million per month.
