Ahmad Dhani Still Lagging Behind Incumbent in Bekasi Pilkada

Neneng Hasanah Yasin and Eka Supriatna are currently leading in the 2017 Bekasi Regional Head Election (Pilkada). Based on data received by the Election Commission (KPU), representing 44.37% of the total, the incumbent Bekasi Regent candidate, number 5, has obtained 230,846 votes, or 41.62% of the data received. This result surpasses the four other candidate pairs.

Meanwhile, the candidate pair for Regent and Deputy Regent of Bekasi, number 2, Sa'duddin and Dhani Ahmad Prasetyo (commonly known as Ahmad Dhani), are in second place with 136,464 votes, or 24.6% of the total votes. Out of 23 regions, the leader of the Dewa band and husband of artist Mulan Jameela is only leading in two regions: Muara Gembong and Tambun Selatan. The Neneng-Eka pair, however, is leading in 16 regions. Data from the remaining regions has yet to be received and compiled by the Election Commission.

The Bekasi Pilkada took place in 3,958 polling stations (TPS). 1,756 TPS have been included in the preliminary count. Of 900,535 registered voters, only 569,834 cast their votes. This means the voter turnout for the Bekasi Regency Pilkada is only 63%.
