Agus Subiyanto Appointed as Indonesian Army Chief of Staff, Here's His Wealth

President Joko Widodo inaugurated General TNI Agus Subiyanto as the new Chief of Staff of the Indonesian Army (KSAD) on Wednesday (25/10/2023), replacing General TNI Dudung Abdurachman who is entering retirement.

The inauguration of the new KSAD was based on Presidential Decree No. 89/TNI/2023 concerning the dismissal and appointment of the Chief of Staff of the Indonesian Army.

Following his inauguration, Agus stated that he would collaborate with ministries/institutions and the public to implement government programs, one of which is creating a conducive atmosphere for the 2024 General Election.

"So we don't work alone; of course, with the Police and all elements of society, we must work together to create a conducive situation throughout Indonesia," said Agus, as reported by the official website of the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Wednesday (25/10/2023).

Before his inauguration, Agus Subiyanto had assets worth Rp19.3 billion (approximately USD 1.2 million) as of the end of 2022.

This figure is recorded in the State Officials' Wealth Report (LHKPN) submitted by Agus on March 31, 2023.

Based on its components, Agus's largest assets are land and buildings, with a total value of Rp16 billion (approximately USD 1 million).

Agus is recorded as owning 11 plots of land and buildings spread across Bandung, Pangandaran, Poso, Cimahi, Bogor, and East Jakarta.

The former Deputy KSAD only owns one vehicle, a 2011 Nissan Mini Bus, reported to be worth Rp70 million (approximately USD 4,500).

He also has cash and cash equivalents of Rp1.6 billion (approximately USD 103,000), and other movable assets of Rp1.59 billion (approximately USD 102,000). As of the end of 2022, the four-star general is not recorded as having any debts.
