This condition is influenced by several factors, including the lack of transparency from law enforcement officials (APH) in publishing prosecution data, weak coordination between the KPK (Corruption Eradication Commission) and other APHs, and public complaints that are often not followed up seriously.

Although the number of prosecutions has decreased, the total potential state losses have sharply surged to Rp279.9 trillion in 2024. This achievement is the highest since 2020, as shown in the graph.

This surge was primarily triggered by the alleged corruption case involving mining business permits (IUP) of PT Timah Tbk, which occurred between 2015-2022.
