Three Million People Participate in Free Health Checkups, Most in Central Java

The Indonesian government has allocated a budget of Rp3.4 trillion (approximately US$226 million based on current exchange rates) for the 2025 free health check-up program (PKG). Rp2.2 trillion will be channeled through the Ministry of Health, and Rp1.2 trillion will be transferred to regional governments.

According to the Ministry of Health's report, as of April 26, 2025, 3.16 million people across 504 districts/cities in 38 Indonesian provinces had received the program's benefits.

Central Java had the highest number of PKG recipients, reaching 1.34 million people.

The following is a detailed breakdown of PKG recipients as of April 26, 2025, at 10:00 PM WIB:

1. Central Java: 1.34 million people
2. East Java: 745,514 people
3. West Java: 242,563 people
4. North Sumatra: 112,639 people
5. South Sulawesi: 95,633 people
6. West Sumatra: 76,508 people
7. Gorontalo: 73,177 people
8. South Sumatra: 68,613 people
9. Banten: 45,347 people
10. Southeast Sulawesi: 45,202 people
11. Other provinces: 321,245 people

The majority of recipients (1.09 million) were adults aged 40-59 years. This was followed by the 25-39 age group (962,219 people) and the elderly (451,427 people).

The PKG is divided into three activities: birthday PKG for infants to 6-year-olds and those 18 years and older; school-based PKG for 7-17 year olds, conducted annually at the start of the school year; and routine PKG for pregnant women and children up to 6 years old, conducted more than once a year depending on their condition and age.
