Preliminary KPU Count: Ridwan Kamil's Wife Leads in West Java I Legislative Election

According to the General Election Commission (KPU)'s preliminary real count, Atalia Praratya, the wife of former West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil, is leading in the legislative election (pileg) for the House of Representatives (DPR) in West Java I electoral district.

This electoral district encompasses Bandung City and Cimahi City, with a quota of 7 DPR seats.

As of Tuesday (20/2/2024) at 11:00 WIB, Atalia, who is nominated by the Golkar Party, has garnered 82,834 votes.

Atalia is significantly ahead of other legislative candidates in this region, as no competitor has yet reached over 50,000 votes.

The next highest vote count in West Java I electoral district was obtained by Ledia Hanifa, a PKS cadre, with 47,589 votes. Following her is Indonesian singer Melly Goeslaw, nominated by Gerindra, with 26,235 votes.

Note: These figures are compiled from 4,890 polling stations (TPS), or 54.43% of the total 8,984 TPS in West Java I electoral district. The KPU will continue to tabulate votes until March 20, 2024 at the latest.
