A recent Kompas Research and Development (Litbang Kompas) survey found that 40.6% of female respondents prioritized considering individual legislative candidates (caleg) in the 2024 General Election. This proportion is higher than the percentage of female voters who considered political parties (parpol), which stood at 16.6%.

The Litbang Kompas survey involved 1,364 respondents randomly selected using a stratified systematic sampling method across 38 provinces in Indonesia from November 29 to December 4, 2023, through face-to-face interviews.

The margin of error is approximately 2.65% with a 95% confidence level, under conditions of simple random sampling.
