Bank Indonesia (BI) prepares up to Rp195 trillion in small and large denomination cash to meet the demand for cash withdrawals during the 2023 Eid al-Fitr holiday.

From April 15-19, 2023, BI added cash exchange service locations along homecoming routes through the Peduli Mudik Program. These locations are spread across rest areas on toll roads in Java, Lampung, Palembang, and at the Merak, Bakauheni, Ketapang, and Gilimanuk ferry crossings.

BI also encourages the public to optimize cashless payment transactions, including using QRIS and expanding BI-FAST participation to prepare infrastructure to handle the increase in transactions during Ramadan and Idul Fitri 1444 H.
