How much revenue do the Indonesian government and McMoran receive from Freeport Indonesia?

The Indonesian government's revenue from PT Freeport Indonesia (PTFI) from 1992-2015 reached US$16.1 billion. This is equivalent to Rp 214 trillion at an exchange rate of Rp 13,300 per US dollar. Meanwhile, Freeport McMoran Inc.'s revenue from PTFI dividends amounted to only US$10.68 billion, equivalent to Rp 142 trillion.

Government revenue from PTFI comprises taxes, non-tax income, dividends, and royalties. Government revenue in 2015 reached US$368 million, consisting of US$122 million in royalties and US$246 million in other taxes and levies. Since 2012, the government has not received any dividends.

The Indonesian government banned PTFI from exporting its mining concentrate since January 12, 2017. This policy was implemented because the American mining company refused to change its status from a contract of work (KK) holder to a special mining business license (IUPK) holder. Subsequently, Freeport McMoran's Chief Executive Officer, Richard Adkerson, planned to file a lawsuit with an international arbitration body. This plan was made because the Indonesian government was considered to have unilaterally stopped the export activities of its subsidiary in Indonesia.
