In October-November 2025, KIC surveyed 415 members and managers from two major religious organizations in Indonesia, namely Muhammadiyah and Nahdlatul Ulama (NU).

The results showed that 334 people, or around 80% of the respondents, accepted the policy of granting mining concessions to religious organizations. Of this group, the majority accepted it for economic reasons.

Through this survey, KIC also assessed the polarization of views, readiness, and expectations of religious ormas members in the management of mining concessions.
