"Oppenheimer" Receives the Most Oscar Nominations for 2024

The 96th Academy Awards, or the Oscars 2024, will be held on March 10, 2024. The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS) has announced the list of nominees for these awards for American filmmakers.

According to its official website, *Oppenheimer* is the film with the most nominations at the 2024 Oscars, with a total of 13 nominations.

Christopher Nolan's film is included in major categories such as *Best Picture*, *Best Director*, *Best Adapted Screenplay*, and *Best Actor*, the latter performed by Cillian Murphy.

*Oppenheimer* is a biographical film about J. Robert Oppenheimer (played by Cillian Murphy), a nuclear scientist who invented the atomic bomb, a creation that claimed many lives during World War II.

In second place is *Poor Things*, which received 11 nominations, including *Best Picture*, *Best Director*, *Best Actress*, *Best Cinematography*, and others.

Next, the Leonardo DiCaprio-starring film, *Killers of the Flower Moon*, follows in third place, garnering 10 nominations at the 2024 Oscars.

Meanwhile, the film *Barbie*, released around the same time as *Oppenheimer*, received only 8 nominations, including *Best Picture*, *Best Original Song*, *Best Supporting Actress*, and others.
