Elon Musk officially became the owner of Twitter last week (October 27th). According to Social Blade, Elon Musk has the third-largest number of followers worldwide and is among the six people with over 100 million followers on Twitter.
This *Forbes*-listed world's richest person has a total of 112.3 million followers. Former US President Barack Obama still holds the first position with a total of 133.4 million followers. Singer Justin Bieber is in third place with 113.8 million Twitter followers.

The Tesla CEO bought Twitter for the agreed-upon price of US$44 billion, or approximately Rp685 trillion. Elon denied rumors that he would lay off 75% of the social media company's employees.
After officially buying Twitter, Elon changed his Twitter bio to "Chief Twit." The Tesla CEO shared a video of his visit to the Twitter office in San Francisco, where he walked through the office hallway carrying a sink.
Under Elon Musk, the social media company plans to increase the subscription fee for the "blue checkmark" or verified accounts. "Twitter will revise the user verification process," Elon Musk tweeted on Sunday (October 30th).
*The Verge* reported that Twitter plans to charge US$19.99, or approximately Rp311,800, for the new Twitter Blue subscription. Users currently subscribed to Twitter Blue with the existing package will reportedly be given 90 days to upgrade to the new subscription. Otherwise, they will lose their verified status.
