The JakPat survey explored a number of online game applications frequently used by Generation (Gen) Z and millennials in Indonesia.

The results showed that Mobile Legends: Bang Bang was the most frequently played game by 52% of young respondents.

Broken down by gender, the game was played most by male respondents at 65%, while female respondents only accounted for 34%.

Other online games frequently played by young people include Candy Crush (30%), Roblox (28%), PUBG (27%), Free Fire (23%), Minecraft (17%), and others (25%).

JakPat also revealed that most of these respondents spend 1-3 hours per week playing their favorite games.

The survey involved 1,203 respondents, which was then narrowed down to 590 respondents who identified as gamers. In total, the respondents consisted of 50% male and 50% female.

Respondents were located in Jabodetabek (46%), Java Island outside Jabodetabek (32%), and outside Java Island (22%). Respondents consisted of 53% millennials (aged 29-44) and 47% Gen Z (aged 15-28).

The survey was conducted online via the Jakpat application on September 3-4, 2025, with a margin of error below 5%.
