APJII: Indonesians Enthusiastically Access Health Content

The Indonesian Internet Service Providers Association (APJII) released a report titled *2023 Internet Penetration & Behavior Survey*. One of the research topics highlighted was public preference in choosing content.

The results show that health-related content was the most frequently accessed topic, accounting for 36.96% of total respondents.

Sports content ranked second, with 34.34% of respondents accessing it frequently.

Infotainment or entertainment content, including gossip, was accessed by 32.32% of respondents.

"Indonesians are now more health-conscious and interested in sports, but they haven't abandoned gossip. This is what's interesting—these three are the most frequently accessed content by Indonesians," said APJII Secretary General Zulfady Syam, as quoted by *Antaranews* on Monday, May 15, 2023.

Economic, financial, and business content followed in fourth place, with 28.98% of respondents accessing it frequently. Political, social, legal, and human rights content followed with 24.73%.

By gender, male respondents more frequently accessed political, social, legal, and human rights content (33.94%).

Female respondents, however, most frequently accessed gossip content (49.48%).

APJII surveyed 8,510 respondents across various Indonesian provinces using multi-stage random sampling.

Data collection was conducted from January 10-27, 2023, using interview methods. The margin of error is approximately 1.14% with a 95% confidence level.

The survey used multiple-answer questions, allowing respondents to select more than one answer regarding their content preferences, with a maximum of three choices.
