The Indonesian film industry has rebounded after being hit by the Covid-19 pandemic. This is evident from the numerous Indonesian films that have drawn millions of viewers to cinemas.

Produced by Manoj Punjabi, this film recorded 9.23 million viewers in cinemas.
*KKN di Desa Penari* is adapted from a horror story that went viral on Twitter in 2019. According to the author, the story is based on the true experiences of a group of university students undertaking a Community Service Program (KKN) in an undisclosed village.
Another Indonesian film that captivated the public's attention is *Pengabdi Setan 2: Communion*. Directed by Joko Anwar, this film attracted 6.39 million cinemagoers.
There's also *Miracle in Cell No. 7*, which recorded 5.85 million viewers. Adapted from a South Korean film, it has been remade in several countries with different versions, namely Turkey, the Philippines, Saudi Arabia, Spain, India, and Canada.
