President Prabowo Subianto, through the Ministry of Agriculture, has lowered the price of subsidized fertilizer starting this month.

The regulation is stipulated in the Minister of Agriculture's Decree Number 1117/Kpts./SR.310/M/10/2025, effective from October 22, 2025.

"President Prabowo ordered that fertilizer must reach farmers at an affordable price. There should be no delays, no leakages," said Minister of Agriculture Andi Amran Sulaiman in a press release on Wednesday (October 22, 2025).

"We immediately followed up with concrete steps, revitalizing the industry, cutting distribution chains, and lowering prices by 20 percent without increasing state budget subsidies," he added.

The decision states that the highest retail price (HET) for all types of subsidized fertilizers in Indonesia has been lowered by 20%, with the following details:

Urea fertilizer: down from Rp2,250 to Rp1,800 per kilogram
NPK fertilizer: down from Rp2,300 to Rp1,840 per kilogram
Cocoa NPK fertilizer: down from Rp3,300 to Rp2,640 per kilogram
ZA fertilizer for sugarcane: down from Rp1,700 to Rp1,360 per kilogram
Organic fertilizer: down from Rp800 to Rp640 per kilogram
