The poverty line in Banten this September increased higher than the previous period. Historically, the province recorded its lowest growth two years ago in September 2020 at 1.53 percent. This year, the poverty line in Banten grew by 5.14 percent.
For annual growth, the poverty line shows an increase compared to the same period the previous year, from 6.74 percent to 9.64 percent. Furthermore, this growth is lower than the historical data, which once recorded the highest growth at 11.64 percent.
Looking back, the average increase in the poverty line over the last three years is 3.78 percent. This figure is lower than the average for the previous three years (2016-2019), which stood at 4.31 percent.

As stated in the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) report, the highest semester-on-semester growth of the poverty line in this province in seven years was 7.02 percent and the lowest was 0.53 percent, with a downward trend in the poverty line. This year's poverty line growth still shows a higher figure than before the Covid-19 pandemic.
Based on island, out of a total of nine provinces in Java, Bali, and Nusa Tenggara, this province ranks second in terms of poverty line. This year, growth in this province is recorded as lower than the national average.
