The global semiconductor crisis has caused the market capitalization of several producers to plummet. One of them is Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC), the world's largest semiconductor producer.

Based on Companies Market Cap data, the market capitalization of this Taiwanese producer is recorded at US$336.64 billion today (October 12th). This is a 41.55% decrease compared to the end of 2021 (year-to-date/ytd), which reached US$575.93 billion.

The decline in TSMC's market capitalization has dropped the producer to 14th place among the most valuable companies according to Companies Market Cap.

In addition to TSMC, the market capitalization of semiconductor producer NVIDIA has also fallen by 60.73% compared to the end of December 2021, which was US$735.27 billion.
