"The challenging macroeconomic environment is putting pressure on global corporations. Credit risk has widened substantially, and high costs are eroding corporate profits," said Tobias in his analysis report published on the IMF website on Tuesday, October 11, 2022.

"For small businesses, bankruptcies are starting to rise due to higher borrowing costs and reduced fiscal support," Tobias continued.
