BCA Achieves Net Profit of Rp 23.19 Trillion until Q3 2021

PT Bank Central Asia Tbk reported a net profit of Rp 23.19 trillion until Q3 2021. This net profit increased by 15.79% year-on-year (yoy) compared to the same period last year, which was Rp 20.04 trillion.

The growth in profit for the issuer with the trading code BBCA was supported by a 16.26% yoy decrease in interest expenses to Rp 7.24 trillion throughout January-September 2021. On the other hand, its interest income only decreased by 0.1% yoy to Rp 49.9 trillion in the first nine months of this year.

Meanwhile, BBCA's equity grew by 7.16% to Rp 197.82 trillion in January-September 2021 compared to the end of 2020 (year-to-date/ytd). Similarly, the company's liabilities increased by 7.16% (ytd) to Rp 971.48 trillion.

As a result, the assets of the private bank owned by the owner of the Djarum cigarette company were recorded at Rp 1.17 quadrillion until Q3 2021. This value increased by 8.71% compared to the end of last year (ytd).

The positive financial performance was reflected in the movement of BBCA's share price. The BBCA share price closed at Rp 7,375/unit on Thursday, October 28, 2021. This price increased by 10.46% from the end of December 2020 (ytd).

The majority shareholder of BBCA is Robert Budi Hartono and Bambang Hartono through PT. Dwimuria Investama Andalan with 54.94%. The remaining 45.06% is owned by the public.
