Composite Index Closes Down 0.07% at 332,3115 (Monday, November 29, 2021)

The weakening Indonesian Rupiah has been exploited by investors to take profits in the domestic bond market. They are offloading their investments in government bonds to realize their gains.

According to the Indonesian Bond Pricing Agency (PHEI), the Indonesia Composite Bond Index (ICBI) closed at 332.3115 on Monday, November 29, 2021. This figure is down 0.2334 points (0.07%) from the previous day's closing of 332.5449.

Furthermore, today's transactions show that domestic bond market players are shifting their portfolios to corporate bonds. This condition caused government bond prices to correct, while corporate bonds moved upwards.

Specifically, the INDOBeX Composite Clean Price closed down 0.109 points (0.0901%) to 120.84. Meanwhile, the INDOBeX Effective Yield Index rose 0.0094 points (0.16%) to 5.7955.

The INDOBeX Government Total Return closed down 0.252 points (0.08%) to 325.74. Meanwhile, the INDOBeX Corporate Total Return Index rose 0.1066 points (0.03%) to 365.66.

Today's spot market exchange rate for the Rupiah closed weaker at Rp 57.5/US$ (0.4%) to Rp 14,322.5/US$. The Jakarta Composite Index (IHSG) closed up 47 points (0.71%) to 6,608.29.
