Bukalapak Reports 51% Increase in Total Payment Value (TPV) for January-September 2021

PT Bukalapak.com Tbk (BUKA) recorded a total processing value (TPV) of Rp 87.9 trillion (approximately US$6.0 billion) from January to September 2021. Compared to the same period last year, this TPV increased by 51%.

Bukalapak recorded a TPV of Rp 58.25 trillion (approximately US$4.0 billion) from January to September 2020. Furthermore, the TPV achieved from January to September 2021 already surpassed the full-year 2020 figure of Rp 85.08 trillion (approximately US$5.8 billion).

Bukalapak's partners were the main driver of TPV growth up to September 2021. Partner TPV increased by 179% year-on-year (yoy) to Rp 40 trillion (approximately US$2.7 billion) in the first nine months of 2021.

The contribution of partners to Bukalapak's TPV also increased to 51% in Q3 2021. In the same period of the previous year, the contribution of partners was recorded at 33%.

Bukalapak's TPV has steadily increased since 2018. The TPV was recorded at Rp 28.34 trillion (approximately US$1.9 billion) in 2018, Rp 57.39 trillion (approximately US$3.9 billion) in 2019, and Rp 85.08 trillion (approximately US$5.8 billion) in 2020.
