Indonesian Rupiah Exchange Rate Weakens to 15,154.5 per US Dollar (Tuesday, September 27, 2022)

As of 1:11 PM WIB today, the rupiah exchange rate in the spot market is traded at 15,154.5 per US dollar, data as of Tuesday, September 27, 2022. This exchange rate weakened by 0.18% compared to the previous day's closing, which was traded at 15,130 per US dollar. The daily exchange rate movement is expected to be in the range of 15,127.5 - 15,171.

According to investing.com, the rupiah exchange rate in the spot market has been under pressure, weakening by 1.35% in a week. Compared to 30 days ago, the rupiah exchange rate in the spot market has weakened by 1.81%.

Over the past year, the rupiah exchange rate in the spot market reached its highest point at 15,130 per US dollar.

For the period January-September 2022, the rupiah exchange rate in the spot market has weakened further, moving 6.24% compared to the beginning of the year, which was at the level of 14,264 per US dollar.

The current rupiah exchange rate condition is contrary to most regional currencies that are strengthening against the US dollar.

This afternoon, according to several major currencies monitored by Bank Indonesia, the South Korean won strengthened by 5.36 points (-0.38%) to KRW 1,425.27 per US dollar, the Japanese yen strengthened by 0.3 points (-0.20%), the Singapore dollar strengthened by 0.0029 points (-0.20%), the euro strengthened by 0.0041 points (-0.39%), and the Chinese yuan strengthened by 0.0134 points (-0.19%).
