Indonesia's Composite Stock Price Index (IHSG) Remains in the Green Zone; GOTO Stock Soars 14.25% (Thursday, November 2, 2023)

The Jakarta Composite Index (IHSG) strengthened by 108.96 points or 1.64% to 6,751.386 at the close of trading on Thursday (02/11/2023).

The index's strengthening was partly supported by the increase in GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk shares. This issuer, with the stock code GOTO, soared 14.52%, or 9 points, to Rp71 per share.

Based on the IDX-IC Sectoral Index, nine stock sectors strengthened today. The technology sector rose the highest, at 3.49%, followed by the property and basic materials sectors, which rose 2.39% and 1.78%, respectively.

Meanwhile, two stock sectors were corrected: the infrastructure sector, down 1.40%, and the health sector, down 0.66%.

Based on RTI Business data, the frequency of stock trading on the domestic exchange today was 1.32 million transactions.

A total of 26.21 billion shares changed hands, with a transaction value reaching Rp11.67 trillion.

The issuer with the code KJEN became the top gainer after strengthening by 21.15%, followed by issuers GOTO and LEAD, which strengthened by 14.52% and 12.07%, respectively.

Meanwhile, the top loser today was DIVA, which weakened by 19.70%, followed by TFAS and AMAN, which contracted by 15.79% and 10.74%, respectively.

The majority of stocks closed stronger in today's trading. Specifically, 370 stocks strengthened, 215 stocks were stagnant, and 167 stocks weakened.

Meanwhile, Asian regional stock exchanges showed varied movement this afternoon. The Nikkei index strengthened by 1.10% to 31,949.90, the Hang Seng index strengthened by 0.75% to 17,230.59, the Shanghai index weakened by 0.45% to 3,009.41, and the Straits Times index strengthened by 0.19% to 3,082.49.
