Waskita Karya (Persero) Tbk recorded revenue of Rp12.22 trillion in 2021. This figure is down 24.5% from Rp16.19 trillion in 2020.
Despite the revenue decline, the state-owned construction company's net loss was successfully reduced by 85% to Rp1.1 trillion in 2021. This is a significant decrease from the Rp7.36 trillion net loss in 2020.
This reduction in losses was mainly supported by other income, which reached Rp3.74 trillion in 2021. In 2020, this item recorded an expense of Rp219.3 billion.
This other income was largely derived from the divestment of Waskita Karya's toll roads. Throughout 2021, Waskita earned Rp2.65 trillion from selling its stake in several toll roads.
Meanwhile, Waskita's liabilities were recorded at Rp88.14 trillion at the end of 2021, down from Rp89.34 trillion at the end of 2020.
Waskita successfully reduced its short-term liabilities from Rp48.56 trillion to Rp27.3 trillion. The majority of its liabilities are long-term, amounting to Rp60.84 trillion.
