BTN Achieves Profit Growth in the First Quarter of 2026

PT Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) Tbk (BBTN) recorded a profit attributable to the parent entity of Rp1.11 trillion in the first quarter of 2026.

This figure surged by 22.60% compared to the profit in the first quarter of last year (year-on-year/yoy).

Meanwhile, BBTN's total revenue throughout the first quarter of 2026 fell by 2.41% (yoy) to Rp8.01 trillion.

This revenue came from interest income of Rp6.91 trillion, as well as profit sharing and margins from the sharia unit of Rp1.10 trillion.

However, BBTN's total interest, profit sharing, and bonus expenses shrank by 14.90% (yoy) to Rp3.77 trillion.

Therefore, BBTN's net income at the end of the first quarter of 2026 reached Rp4.24 trillion, an increase of 12.26% (yoy).

As of March 31, 2026, the total assets of this state-owned bank reached Rp517.54 trillion, a decrease of 1.94% compared to the position on December 31, 2025.

Its assets consist of liabilities of Rp450.80 trillion, temporary sharia funds of Rp29.98 trillion, and equity of Rp36.77 trillion.

BBTN's CEO, Nixon LP Napitupulu, said the achievements in the first quarter of 2026 were supported by transformation, innovation, and government support for the national housing finance industry.

According to him, BBTN continues to support the public in owning housing by providing home ownership loans (KPR) for about 6 million units since 1976 until early April 2026, with a total value of Rp530 trillion.

"Of these 6 million houses, if each house accommodates 4 people, then a total of 24 million people have finally been able to own decent housing," said Nixon in a press release on Wednesday (April 15, 2026).
