Data from the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) collected by Databoks shows that the number of listed companies that are delisted is expected to increase in 2026.
Specifically, in 2023 and 2024, there will only be 1 delisting each. This figure will then jump to 15 listed companies in 2025.
The number of delistings is predicted to increase this year, as the IDX has already targeted 18 listed companies starting from November 10, 2026.
According to Katadata, this policy is taken against listed companies that are deemed to have inadequate operational conditions and whose shares have been suspended beyond the time limit set by the stock exchange.
As a form of protection for public shareholders, the IDX requires these companies to conduct buybacks of shares owned by the public.
The IDX emphasizes that, even if the status of being a listed company is revoked, this does not eliminate the obligations that the company has not fulfilled towards the stock exchange.
"Listed companies that have been decided to be delisted still have obligations as listed companies, until the effective delisting is carried out as stipulated by the stock exchange," the IDX wrote in its announcement on Saturday (11/4/2026).
