Another New Record, IHSG Breaches 8,600 (Wednesday, November 26, 2025)

The IDX Composite Index (IHSG) strengthened by 0.94% to the level of 8,602.13 at the close of trading on Wednesday (November 26, 2025).

This achievement marks a new all-time high (ATH) in the history of the IHSG.

According to Phintraco Sekuritas, this strengthening was triggered by market expectations for a Fed interest rate cut.

"Rising expectations for a Fed interest rate cut in December 2025 is one of the positive catalysts for the IHSG's movement," said the Head of Research at Phintraco Sekuritas, as reported by Antara.

Based on the IDX-IC Sectoral Index, nine stock sectors strengthened today. The energy sector led with a gain of up to 2.34%, followed by the financial sector and the basic materials sector, which rose by 1.96% and 1.68% respectively.

Meanwhile, two other stock sectors corrected, namely the transportation sector and the health sector, which fell by 0.50% and 0.06% respectively.

According to RTI Business data, the frequency of domestic stock trading today reached 2.7 million transactions.

A total of 53.99 billion shares changed hands with a total transaction value of Rp26.73 trillion.

As many as 365 stocks closed lower today, while 293 stocks strengthened, and 149 stocks remained stagnant.

Today's top gainer was JAWA, which soared 34.94%, followed by DNAR and UNTD, which rose by 34.78% and 33.70% respectively.

On the other hand, the issuer with ticker code SMDM became the top loser after falling 14.47%, followed by DEPO and KUAS, which corrected by 14.38% and 14.29% respectively.

In line with the IHSG, most Asian exchanges closed in the green zone this afternoon. The Nikkei index rose 1.85% to 49,559.07; the Hang Seng index rose 0.13% to 25,928.08; the Straits Times index rose 0.36% to 4,501.56; while the Shanghai index fell 0.15% to 3,864.18.
