Indonesia's Public and Private External Debt Increased Through April 2025

Based on data from Bank Indonesia (BI), the combined value of Indonesia's external debt from the private and government sectors reached US$431.55 billion in April 2025.

This figures increased by 8.16% compared to April 2024 (year-on-year), and grew by 1.26% compared to the end of last year (year-to-date).

• Private sector: US$194.79 billion

• Transportation and Warehousing: US$26.91 billion
• Accommodation and Food Service Activities: US$429 million
• Information and Communication: US$5.74 billion
• Financial and Insurance Services: US$83.98 billion
• Real Estate: US$3.35 billion
• Corporate Services: US$4.43 billion
• Public Administration, Defense, and Compulsory Social Security: US$39.04 billion
• Education Services: US$34.33 billion
