Indonesia's Stock Exchange (IHSG) Closes Lower (Tuesday, June 3, 2025)

The Indonesia Composite Stock Price Index (IHSG) weakened 0.29% to 7,044.82 at the close of trading on Tuesday (June 3, 2025). The previous day, the IHSG also weakened 1.54% to 7,065.07.

According to Valdy Kurniawan, Senior Equity Research Analyst at Phintraco Sekuritas, negative sentiment stemmed from two factors.

"Negative sentiment, among other things, still originates from the increasing uncertainty of the tariff war, and concerns about its impact on the domestic economy," said Valdy, as quoted by Antara, Tuesday (June 3, 2025).

Based on the IDX-IC Sectoral Index, six sectors strengthened today. The transportation and logistics sector led with 1.17%, followed by the health sector at 0.59% and the property sector at 0.30%.

Meanwhile, five other stock sectors were corrected. The industrial sector fell the most, by 1.54%, followed by the technology sector, which weakened by 1.23%, and the non-primary consumer sector by 0.96%.

Domestic stock trading frequency today reached 1.25 million transactions. A total of 24.45 billion shares changed hands with a total transaction value of Rp 14.47 trillion.

According to RTI Business data, 261 stocks closed higher today, 353 stocks weakened, and 193 stocks were stagnant.

Today's top gainer was TMPO, which soared 35%, followed by AXIO and ZYRX, which rose 34.92% and 25.66%, respectively.

On the other hand, the stock with the code BAJA became the top loser after plunging 14.97%, followed by SMIL and RMKO, which corrected 14.73% and 11.20%, respectively.

Meanwhile, most Asian markets strengthened this afternoon. The Hang Seng Index strengthened by 1.53% to 23,512.49; the Shanghai Index strengthened by 0.43% to 3,361.97; the Straits Times Index strengthened by 0.10% to 3,894.38; while the Nikkei Index weakened by 0.06% to 37,446.80.
