The operator of Alfamart, PT Sumber Alfaria Trijaya Tbk (AMRT), recorded a net profit of Rp2.4 trillion from the beginning of the year to the end of Q3 2024.
This achievement represents a 9.5% increase year-on-year (YoY).
The increase in Alfamart's profit up to Q3 2024 was supported by a 10.2% rise in revenue to Rp88.22 trillion.
However, amidst this positive financial report, Alfamart has actually closed hundreds of outlets this year.
"300-400 stores were closed this year. Why? Because if they were profitable, we would keep them open," said Solihin, as reported by *Bisnis.com* on Saturday, December 14, 2024.
Despite this, he stated that more new Alfamart outlets were opened this year than were closed.
"This means there's a closure and an opening. So there's substitution, mutual support," said Solihin.
