According to Katadata's calculations, PT Telkom's market capitalization reached Rp 463.68 trillion on July 14, 2017, a Rp 65.6 trillion increase from its position at the beginning of 2017. Meanwhile, HM Sampoerna's market capitalization shrank by Rp 1.16 trillion to Rp 440.85 trillion.
PT Telkom's share price (TLKM) rose 16.46 percent throughout 2017 to Rp 4,600 per share from its year-opening price of Rp 3,950 per share. Conversely, the share price of HMSP (HMSP) fell 0.26 percent to Rp 3,790 per share from its January 3, 2017 price of Rp 3,800 per share.
HMSP currently holds the third-largest market capitalization, behind PT Telkom and PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BBCA). Bank BCA's market capitalization on July 14, 2017, increased by Rp 64.1 trillion to Rp 449.12 trillion. According to Bloomberg data, PT Telkom currently has the largest weighting in the Jakarta Composite Index (IHSG) calculation at 7.25 percent, Bank BCA at 7 percent, and HM Sampoerna at 6.9 percent.
