Indonesia's Composite Stock Price Index (IHSG) closed slightly lower at 6,809, with the property sector experiencing the most significant correction (Friday, November 10, 2023)

The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) (IHSG) closed down 28.97 points, or 0.42%, to 6,809.26 on Friday (11/10/2023).

The weakening of the stock index was partly supported by the property sector, which closed with the most significant decline today.

Based on the IDX-IC Sectoral Index, six sectors weakened today, led by the property sector, which fell the most at -1.04%, followed by the consumer goods and finance sectors, which fell by -0.89% and -0.88%, respectively.

Meanwhile, four other sectors increased. The transportation & logistics sector led the gains with 0.43%, followed by the basic materials and technology sectors, which rose by 0.28% and 0.25%, respectively.

According to RTI Business data, the frequency of stock trading on the domestic exchange today was 993.9 times.

A total of 16.48 billion shares changed hands, with a transaction value of Rp7.75 trillion.

BIMA was the top loser today after weakening by 13.64%, followed by NATO and BSML, which contracted by 7.27% and 7.22%, respectively.

Meanwhile, the top gainer today was COAL, which strengthened by 20%, followed by PURI and TMAS, which strengthened by 18.44% and 10.07%, respectively.

The majority of stocks closed lower today. Specifically, 333 stocks weakened, 227 stocks were stagnant, and 184 stocks strengthened.

Regional Asian stock exchanges closed lower this afternoon. The Nikkei Index weakened by 0.24% to 32,568.10, the Hang Seng Index weakened by 1.76% to 17,203.26, the Shanghai Index weakened by 0.47% to 3,038.97, and the Straits Times Index weakened by 0.91% to 3,106.68.
