Indocement Records Rp 1.21 Trillion Net Profit in Q3 2021

PT Indocement Tunggal Prakarsa Tbk (INTP) reported a net profit of Rp 1.21 trillion in the third quarter of 2021. This figure represents an 8.24% increase year-on-year (YoY) compared to Rp 1.11 trillion in the same period of the previous year.

The revenue of the Tiga Roda cement producer reached Rp 10.61 trillion in the first nine months of the year, a 4.51% increase compared to the same period last year.

Based on geographical segments, sales to third parties on the island of Java still dominated, reaching Rp 7.86 trillion. Sales to third parties outside Java amounted to Rp 2.5 trillion, while export revenue to related parties reached Rp 178.98 billion.

However, several of PT Indocement's expenses increased. For example, the cost of goods sold rose by 4.52%, from Rp 6.71 trillion to Rp 7.01 trillion.

One of the contributing factors was the increase in fuel and electricity costs by 15.78%, reaching Rp 2.97 trillion. Selling expenses also saw a slight increase of 0.32%, reaching Rp 1.84 trillion.

PT Indocement's highest net profit in the last five years was recorded in the third quarter of 2017, reaching Rp 1.4 trillion, or 14.08% higher than in the third quarter of 2021.
