Indonesia receives the largest foreign grant from Australia, totaling US$1,063.36 million.

The Directorate General of Financing and Risk Management (DJPPR) of the Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu) recorded a total commitment of US$ 3,230.39 million in foreign grants in the second quarter of 2021, with 33.7% absorption. The largest grant was received from Australia, amounting to US$ 1,063.36 million, with an absorption rate of 44.6%.

The second largest grant provider was an international organization, totaling US$ 756.43 million, with 51% absorption. Following this, the United States provided a grant of US$ 417.2 million, with only 0.68% absorbed.

Next, Germany committed a grant to the Indonesian government of US$ 239.77 million, with 21.18% absorbed. Meanwhile, Japan's grant had 14.6% absorption from a total commitment of US$ 202.52 million.

The ministries/institutions receiving the most foreign grants were the Ministry of Health (US$ 958.28 million) and the Ministry of National Development Planning/Bappenas (US$ 743.41 million).

Grants are central government receipts in the form of money, goods, services, and/or securities received from grant providers that do not require repayment, originating from both domestic and foreign sources.
