The Jakarta Composite Index (IHSG) hit a new record high in early 2024. The index closed up 39.3 points, or 0.53%, to 7,421.20 at the close of trading on Wednesday (March 13, 2024).

Today's top gainer was SSIA, surging 25%, followed by SURI and SMBR, which rose 22.09% and 18.64%, respectively.

On the other hand, PTPS was today's top loser, plunging 9.64%, followed by CNMA and ADMR, which fell 9.24% and 8.59%, respectively.

Meanwhile, Asian regional stock exchanges showed varied movements this afternoon. The Nikkei index fell 0.26% to 38,696, the Hang Seng index fell 0.07% to 17,082.10, the Shanghai index fell 0.40% to 3,043.83, and the Straits Times index rose 0.16% to 3,160.71.
