Lampung's Average Expenditure Increased by 4.31% (December 2022 Data)

The average per capita monthly expenditure for food and non-food items in Lampung Province was Rp. 1.07 million in 2022. This figure is up by Rp. 44,408.85 compared to the previous year's figure of Rp. 1.03 million.

Looking at historical data from the past few years, this average expenditure growth has improved. Previously, the highest growth rate was recorded three years ago at 5.76 percent. The lowest previous growth was recorded at 0.69 percent in December 2019.

As stated in the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) report, the highest average expenditure growth in this province over nine years was 17.93 percent and the lowest was 0.69 percent, with a downward trend in average expenditure. This year's average expenditure growth is lower than before the Covid-19 pandemic.

Based on island, out of a total of 10 provinces in Sumatra, Lampung's average expenditure ranks tenth. However, compared to the national average, growth in this province is higher.
