The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) strengthened by 44.27 points or 0.66% to 6,758.793 at the close of trading on Friday (27/10/2023).

Today's index strengthening was also supported by one of Lo Kheng Hong's portfolio stocks, namely Gajah Tunggal Tbk (GJTL), which soared 25% to Rp850.

The majority of stocks closed higher today. Specifically, 279 stocks closed higher, 243 stocks weakened, and 235 stocks were stagnant.

Meanwhile, Asian regional stock exchanges showed varied movement this afternoon. The Nikkei index strengthened by 1.27% to 30,991.69, the Hang Seng index strengthened by 2.08% to 17,398.73, the Shanghai index strengthened by 0.99% to 3,017.78, and the Straits Times index weakened by 0.31% to 3,061.85.
