Composite Index Closes Down 0.14% at 327,3342 (Thursday, September 30, 2021)

The weakening of the Indonesian Rupiah was exploited by investors to take profits in the domestic debt market. They released some of their investments in government bonds to realize profits.

Based on the Indonesian Securities Valuation (PHEI) website, the Indonesia Composite Bond Index (ICBI) closed at 327.3342 on Thursday, September 30, 2021. This figure is down 0.4454 points (0.1359%) from the previous day's closing of 327.7796.

In today's transactions, many investors released their portfolios in domestic debt securities. This condition caused the price of bonds, both government and corporate, to be corrected.

Specifically, the INDOBeX Composite Clean Price closed down 0.1899 points (0.16%) to 120.38 today. Meanwhile, the INDOBeX Effective Yield Composite Index rose 0.027 points (0.46%) to 5.9211.

The INDOBeX Government Total Return closed down 0.4592 points (0.14%) to 320.95. Meanwhile, the INDOBeX Corporate Total Return fell 0.14 points (0.04%) to 358.77.

Today's Rupiah exchange rate in the spot market closed down Rp 20.0 per US dollar (0.1%) to Rp 14,312.5 per US dollar. The Jakarta Composite Index (IHSG) closed up 124 points (2.02%) to 6,286.94.
