Investor confidence in the stock market and the strengthening of the Indonesian Rupiah against the US dollar have reignited enthusiasm among domestic debt market players. Bond prices, both government and corporate, have edged up. However, on the other hand, yields have fallen.

According to the Indonesian Securities Pricing website, the Indonesia Bond Composite Index (ICBI) closed up 0.3417 points (0.1%) to 327.1766 on Monday, August 30, 2021, compared to the previous weekend's closing.

In detail, the INDOBeX Composite Clean Price closed up 0.1057 points (0.09%) to 121.0322 from the previous weekend's closing. Meanwhile, the INDOBeX Composite Effective Yield corrected by 0.0142 points (0.24%) to 5.8443 from its previous position.

The INDOBeX Government Total Return closed up 0.35 points (0.11%) to 320.8947. Similarly, the INDOBeX Corporate Total Return rose 0.1508 points (0.04%) to 357.0760 from its previous position.

Quoting Bloomberg, the Rupiah closed up Rp 47.5 (0.33%) to Rp 14,370.5/US dollar today compared to the previous weekend's closing. Similarly, the Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) of the Indonesia Stock Exchange closed up 103.54 points (1.71%) to 6,144.9.
