Crude Palm Oil (CPO) price on the Rotterdam Commodity Exchange remains at US$ 1,035 per metric ton (Tuesday, April 11, 2023)

The price of CPO on the Rotterdam commodity exchange this morning, until 09.09 WIB (Western Indonesian Time), was US$1,035 per metric ton, as of Tuesday, April 11, 2023. This CPO price on the Rotterdam commodity exchange only moved 0.49% compared to the closing price on Sunday, April 9, 2023, which was traded at US$1,035 per metric ton. The CPO price movement on the Rotterdam commodity exchange today is expected to be in the range of US$1,035 - 1,050 per metric ton.

As shown on investing.com, the CPO price on the Rotterdam commodity exchange fell by 0.96% in a week. Compared to 30 days prior, the CPO price on the Rotterdam commodity exchange has increased by 10.11%.

Before Russia's attack on Ukraine, the CPO price on the Rotterdam spot market was still at US$1,640 per ton (February 23, 2022). After the invasion, the CPO price soared for two weeks.

Compared to the end of last year, which was still at US$1,305 per ton, the palm oil price has plummeted by -20.69% (Year to Date/YTD). Compared to the lowest point on June 16, 2021, the CPO price has surged by 6.15%.

The increase in CPO prices also impacted the price of cooking oil in Indonesia. Cooking oil prices in various regions are above Rp 20,000 per liter. Cooking oil was even temporarily scarce in the market.

However, for a one-year data range, CPO on the Rotterdam commodity exchange has actually decreased. The previous highest record reached US$1,912.5 per metric ton.

The CPO price on the Rotterdam commodity exchange reached its lowest point at US$940 per metric ton on Tuesday, March 7, 2023. The highest point this year was around US$1,065 per metric ton.
