CBU car exports in May totaled 26,405 units, a decrease of approximately 27% from 36,211 units the previous month.

Despite the month-on-month decline, May 2022 CBU car exports grew by 42.6% compared to the same period the previous year, when exports were 18,515 units.

Indonesia's largest CBU car exporter was PT. Astra Daihatsu Motor (Daihatsu), with 9,265 units. This was followed by Toyota with 6,369 units, Suzuki with 4,282 units, and Hyundai with 3,099 units.

A similar situation occurred with Completely Knocked Down (CKD) vehicle exports, which slowed by 6.9% month-on-month to 9,534 units in May 2022. In April 2022, CKD vehicle exports totaled 10,243 units.

Automotive component exports also declined. In May 2022, they fell by 12.6% compared to April 2022, from 13,355,451 units to 11,677,983 units.
