Based on Indonesian Banking Statistics from the Financial Services Authority (OJK), the value of national bank credit disbursed to third parties reached Rp 5.56 quadrillion in July 2021. This figure grew by 0.5% compared to July 2020 (year on year/yoy).
Of this amount, credit flowing to DKI Jakarta reached Rp 2.63 quadrillion. This figure accounts for 47.28% of national bank credit and is the largest compared to the value of credit disbursed to other provinces.
Besides DKI Jakarta, four other provinces in Java also recorded the largest credit disbursement in July 2021. West Java with credit disbursement of Rp 482.66 trillion, followed by East Java with credit value of Rp 474 trillion, Central Java with credit disbursement of Rp 307.14 trillion, and Banten with credit disbursement of Rp 163.67 trillion.
Other largest bank credit disbursements were to North Sumatra with a value of Rp 217.2 trillion, then South Sulawesi with a credit value of Rp 123 trillion, followed by South Sumatra with credit disbursement of Rp 87.56 trillion. Next, Bali with a credit value of Rp 82.88 trillion and East Kalimantan with a credit value of Rp 75.74 trillion.
