The value of landed property credit is dominated by the middle segment.

Until February 2017, the value of Home Ownership Loans (KPR) for landed houses continued to increase, dominated by the middle segment or types ranging from 22 to 70 square meters. Growth in KPR for this type showed an increase of 0.72 percent to Rp 198.52 trillion compared to the end of 2016, which was Rp 197.09 trillion. On the other hand, KPR growth for landed houses larger than 70 square meters decreased by 1.42 percent to Rp 126.02 trillion, while KPR growth for type 21 houses decreased by 0.44 percent to Rp 28.58 trillion.

The outlook for KPR in the middle-class housing segment is predicted to continue to increase this year, driven by the ever-increasing demand for housing. The KPR trend at the beginning of this year leans towards residential needs, not investment. This condition is reflected, among other things, in the high proportion of KPR in home purchases, which is 70 percent. The remaining 30 percent of home purchases are made through phased cash payments through developers, generally for investment purposes.
