According to data from the Financial Services Authority (OJK), the value of non-performing loans (NPLs) from online loans (pinjol) nationwide reached Rp1.53 trillion in August 2023.

Then, borrowers from the over-54 age group have pinjol NPLs of Rp68.17 billion. Meanwhile, the under-19 age group, or students, recorded the lowest NPLs at Rp1.12 billion.

The number of active loan recipient accounts in the NPL category reached 486,163 entities in August 2023. Specifically, male borrowers were more numerous at 257,479 entities, while female borrowers numbered 228,209 entities.
