Top 10 Productive Sectors Receiving the Most Fintech Funding

Funding disbursement by fintech lending to the productive sector continues to grow. Several fintech companies are optimistic that their performance will improve next year.

The Financial Services Authority (OJK) recorded that from January to October 2021, financing disbursement by the peer-to-peer (P2P) lending fintech industry to the productive sector reached Rp 69.39 trillion, or 53.63% of the total accumulated financing disbursement.

Looking at each sector, wholesale and retail trade was the sector that received the largest fintech funding disbursement, reaching Rp 14.4 trillion.

The household sector was next, with disbursement amounting to Rp 4.9 trillion from January to October 2021. Then, the transportation, warehousing, and communication sector received Rp 4.7 trillion.

Fintech lending has the advantage of reaching a wider population and offering faster transaction speeds. This is very good for improving financial inclusion and reaching communities that have not been able to access banking financial services.
