Indonesia's Financial Services Authority (OJK) recorded outstanding online loans totaling Rp 27.9 trillion in October 2021.

Based on Indonesian Fintech Lending Statistics released by the Financial Services Authority (OJK), outstanding online loans (pinjol) or circulating loans reached Rp 27.9 trillion in October 2021. This figure increased by 1.45% from the previous month's Rp 27.5 trillion.

Outstanding online loans (pinjol) have continued to increase since the beginning of the year. Outstanding pinjol in October 2021 increased by 57.49% compared to January 2021, which amounted to Rp 16.1 trillion.

This outstanding pinjol flowed to 19.94 million active loan recipient accounts. Specifically, 19.94 million were individual loan recipients, and 2.78 thousand were business entities.

Based on the quality of financing, outstanding pinjol worth Rp 25.39 trillion represents performing loans with payments up to 30 days. The remainder, Rp 1.91 trillion, represents non-performing loans with payments overdue by 30-90 days, and there is Rp 593 billion in non-performing loans overdue for more than 90 days.

Based on the gender of individual loan recipients, the outstanding value of pinjol from women dominated at Rp 12.41 trillion. However, the number of active female loan recipient accounts was less than that of men, namely 9.07 million accounts.

Meanwhile, the outstanding value of pinjol from men was recorded at Rp 11.12 trillion. This outstanding pinjol flowed to 10.86 million active loan recipient accounts.

In terms of age group, millennials aged 19-34 years dominated outstanding pinjol at Rp 15.56 trillion. This was followed by the 35-54 age group with outstanding pinjol of Rp 7.17 trillion.
