According to Bloomberg data (March 12th), DBS Bank's market capitalization reached Rp 772.31 trillion, surpassing OCBC's market capitalization of Rp 589.33 trillion. However, in the Asia-Pacific region, DBS's capitalization ranks 11th, below Sumitomo Mitsui Financial Group, which has a market capitalization of Rp 845 trillion.
Meanwhile, Bank BCA (BBCA), the bank with the largest market capitalization in Indonesia, ranks third in ASEAN. Owned by the Djarum cigarette company of Kudus, this bank has a market capitalization of Rp 581.86 trillion, exceeding both UOB and Bank BRI.
Of the 10 banks with the largest market capitalization in Southeast Asia, three are from Singapore (DBS Bank, OCBC, and UOB), three are from Indonesia (Bank BCA, Bank BRI, and Bank Mandiri), and three are from Malaysia (Maybank, CIMB Bank, and Public Bank). Thailand has only one representative, Kasikornbank.
